Structured Cabling & Data Network Installation — Tampa Bay & Sarasota
The network is only as good as the cable behind the walls. SRQ Specialty Electric installs clean, labeled, standards-compliant structured cabling for offices, warehouses, retail, schools, and homes across the Tampa Bay and Sarasota region.
FL License No. ES12002444 (renewal pending). Insured by Hartford.
Scope of Work
- Cat6 / Cat6A data cabling — new drops, office buildouts, and full-floor wiring.
- Telecom room buildouts — racks, patch panels, cable management, and labeling in MDF/IDF rooms.
- Moves, adds, and changes — reconfigure an office without tearing up the ceiling twice.
- Cable certification testing — every drop tested to spec with printed results.
- Cleanup and remediation — replace tangled, unlabeled legacy wiring with a documented plant.
- Residential data wiring — home offices and whole-home wired networks that WiFi alone can’t deliver.

Our Process
- Site survey. Drop locations, pathway review, and a count of what you need now plus room to grow.
- Design and proposal. Cable grade, drop count, and labeling scheme — fixed price in writing.
- Installation. Cable run to spec: proper support, bend radius, separation from power, firestopping at penetrations.
- Termination and labeling. Every drop labeled at both ends; patch panels documented.
- Testing and handover. Certification results and as-built drawings delivered.

Structured Cabling FAQ
Cat6 or Cat6A — which should I install?
Cat6A costs more but supports 10-gigabit to the full 100 meters and handles PoE heat better. For new commercial buildouts, Cat6A is usually the right long-term call. We quote both and explain the difference.
Do you certify every cable?
Yes. Certification testing with printed results is standard on our installations — not an add-on.
Can you work around our business hours?
Yes. We regularly install nights and weekends in occupied offices, and we coordinate with your IT team on cutovers.
