Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. SRQ Specialty Electric holds FL License No. ES12002444 (renewal pending), Florida Limited Energy, and is insured by Hartford. The license number appears on every proposal.
What does “Limited Energy” (ES) mean?
It’s Florida’s specialty license for low-voltage electrical work — the systems that run on limited power rather than line voltage: communications, data, access control, and signaling systems.
Where do you work?
We’re a service-area business covering Tampa Bay to Sarasota: Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Plant City, Valrico, Apollo Beach, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, Dunedin, Tarpon Springs, Seminole, Safety Harbor, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, North Port, Venice, and Englewood. See our full service area list
Do you have a storefront I can visit?
No — we’re a service-area business, so we come to you. Call 310-418-0656 or email quotes@srqspecialtyelectric.com.
How do I get a quote?
Call or email with a description of the job. We’ll schedule a site survey, then send a written proposal with fixed scope and fixed price.
Do you charge for site surveys?
For most commercial projects, the survey is part of the quoting process at no charge. If a job requires extensive engineering before a proposal, we’ll tell you up front.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?
Yes. Gate failures, network outages, cut fiber, dead cameras — call 310-418-0656 any time.
Do you work with property managers and HOAs?
Yes — gated communities, condos, and commercial property managers are a core part of our work. We coordinate access, communicate with residents, and document systems for your records.
Can you take over a system installed by someone else?
Yes. We service, expand, and remediate systems installed by others, including analog-to-IP camera upgrades and access control migrations.
Do you provide test results and documentation?
Yes. Fiber and data cabling include certification test reports; wireless links include throughput verification; every project includes as-built documentation.
What are your business hours?
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with 24/7 emergency service.
How do I pay?
We accept standard commercial payment terms as agreed in the proposal. Payment schedule is spelled out in writing before work begins.
